Jetour Export to UAE: What Dealers Should Confirm Before Deposit
The biggest risk in buying Jetour units from China for the UAE is not the headline quote. It is paying a deposit before the key facts are confirmed.
In practice, many disputes start the same way. The buyer sends 30% quickly. Later, they find out the steering is wrong, the year is not what they expected, the trim is different from the sales message, or the Incoterm did not include what they assumed was included.
Before any deposit, UAE and GCC dealers should confirm four basics in writing: steering position, exact model year/age, exact trim, and the Incoterm used for the quote. If these points are still vague, the PI is not ready.
If you are sourcing Jetour from China rather than Dubai local stock, it helps to review the Jetour export service for UAE buyers, the broader China-to-UAE export options, and the Jetour T2 model page if that model is on your list. For transaction steps, see the vehicle export process from China.
9 points dealers should confirm before deposit
1. Confirm LHD first UAE imports typically require LHD. Do not rely on a chat message saying “UAE spec” or “Middle East car.” Ask the supplier to state LHD clearly on the quotation, vehicle sheet, and PI. Also ask for steering wheel photos. On cross-border deals, this is a basic filter, not a minor detail.
2. Ask for the exact model, year, and trim “Jetour SUV” is not enough. Dealers should ask for the exact model name and the trim level. If the offer mentions T2, Traveller, or X70 Plus, ask how the supplier defines each version. Naming can vary by market and by channel. The safe approach is to request a clear line item: model, year, engine or powertrain type, seat count, trim, and color.
3. Confirm year, age, and mileage band Terms like “nearly new” or “good condition” are not enough for a wholesale PI. Ask for the build date, first registration date if applicable, current mileage, and the mileage band for the offer. For example: 0–10,000 km or 10,000–30,000 km. This helps avoid a common issue where the buyer expects one age band and receives another.
4. If the unit is HEV or PHEV, ask about battery condition If you are sourcing a hybrid or plug-in hybrid version, battery-related checks should be part of the file before deposit. Ask what can be provided: battery health data, diagnostic reading, charging display, or inspection notes. Even if the model is not full EV, the condition of the battery system still matters for wholesale resale and downstream customer confidence.
5. Clarify FOB China vs CIF Jebel Ali This is one of the biggest sources of misunderstanding. A quote can look competitive until you compare what is actually included. FOB China usually covers the vehicle value and export-side handling up to loading terms defined by the seller. CIF Jebel Ali usually adds sea freight and insurance, but buyers still need to ask what is excluded. Port charges, local handling, destination fees, and special document costs should be checked line by line. Compare suppliers only after the same Incoterm basis is used.
6. Get VIN, photos, and inspection evidence before the 30% deposit A serious export deal should not move forward on a vague stock list alone. Before deposit, request the VIN, exterior photos, interior photos, odometer photo, nameplate photo, and a start-up video. If possible, ask for a short walk-around video as well. For a one-unit transaction, VIN-level confirmation before deposit is standard good practice. For batch buying, ask for sample-unit evidence and actual available quantity.
7. Confirm lead time and ETD window “Available” in China export trade does not always mean “ready in Dubai.” It may mean the vehicle is in China, waiting for inspection, workshop preparation, transfer to port, or shipping space. Ask direct questions: How many days to prepare? What is the expected ETD window? Which China port will be used? What is the estimated transit time to Jebel Ali? This matters for dealers planning showroom turnover or customer delivery.
8. Check the document set before payment Ask the seller what document package will be issued for the shipment. Common documents include Commercial Invoice (CI), Packing List (PL), Bill of Lading (B/L), export declaration, and inspection-related records if available. If your internal compliance team needs certain formatting, company name details, or stamp requirements, settle that before deposit, not one day before vessel arrival.
9. Use a payment structure tied to milestones In this trade, a common structure is 30% T/T deposit and 70% before loading. That can work, but only when the basic deal file is complete. A deposit is safer after the buyer has confirmed VIN or stock identity, steering, year, trim, mileage, document requirements, Incoterm, and lead time. If the seller pushes hard for money before showing these basics, the buyer should slow the process down.
China export stock vs UAE local stock: why quotes differ
This point causes a lot of confusion.
China export stock is quoted based on units located in China. The price structure usually depends on the vehicle itself, refurbishment or preparation status, export compliance steps, inland transport, port handling, and shipping arrangements. The advantage is broader sourcing flexibility. Models such as Jetour T2 and X70 Plus may be easier to source in batches. The trade-off is lead time.
UAE local stock is already in the local market or already landed. Delivery can be faster, but the quote often includes local inventory cost, yard cost, local financing pressure, and immediate market demand.
So if one dealer quotes from China and another quotes from UAE local stock, the numbers may differ for valid reasons. The right question is not only “which one is cheaper?” It is “am I comparing China export stock with local ready stock on the same basis?”
A practical way to request a wholesale PI
For UAE and GCC dealers, the fastest way to get a usable quote is to send a short buying brief:
- Target model list - Quantity per model - LHD only or not - Year and mileage requirement - Destination port, such as Jebel Ali - Preferred basis: FOB China or CIF Jebel Ali
With that information, the supplier can prepare a more realistic wholesale PI or quotation instead of a generic sales sheet.
If you are buying Jetour from China, WinMinCar can quote on FOB or CIF basis within 24 hours after receiving your model list, quantity, and destination port. If required, common wear parts can also be quoted with the vehicle, but lead time should be confirmed before PI.

FAQ
1. When is it reasonable to pay a dealer deposit?
After the unit identity and core deal terms are confirmed in writing. That usually means VIN or stock confirmation, LHD, model year, trim, mileage, document set, Incoterm, and lead-time window are all clear.
2. Do UAE buyers normally need LHD Jetour units?
Yes, in most cases UAE buyers are looking for LHD vehicles. Ask for LHD to be stated on the quote, photos, and PI before deposit.
3. How long does shipment to Jebel Ali usually take?
It depends on the China loading port, stock readiness, workshop preparation, and vessel schedule. Do not ask only for sea transit days. Ask for the full timeline including preparation time and ETD window.
